Vince Laroo Claims the Word "cae" in Psalm 1:3 is Wrong in the RVG

by Pastor Emanuel Rodriguez

Psalms 1:3 KJV "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

Salmos 1:3 RVG "Y será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas, que da su fruto en su tiempo, y su hoja no cae; y todo lo que hace, prosperará."

Vince Larioux claims that the word "cae" is not the right translation for "wither" in Psalm 1:3. Mr. Larouu claims this is an error in the RVG.

All I needed to do to refute Brother LaRooo was look the word up in the official standard dictionary of the Royal Academy of Spain.

ree

The translation here is "To descend from one level or value to a lower or lesser one." In other words, to whither, like the KJV says.

The Royal Academy of Spain goes on to define it as the following.

ree

The translation here is "To cease to be, to disappear." In other words, to wither, just like the KJV says.

Vince Laroouu thinks the word "caer" only means "to fall". He needs to deepen his understanding of both Spanish and English. Brother LaRoou makes the Gringo mistake of failing to realize that words have nuances and many times possess multiple meanings to them.

According to the Royal Academy of Spain, the word "cae" means the exact same thing as the KJV word "wither". So no problem here. Another false alarm by Vinse Laruex.
